From a small village not too far from the Sanctuary, Lorraine arrived in 2002 aged 12 years. She had many severe wounds which were promptly treated and fortunately healed very well. Despite her ordeals she is a very gentle and kind donkey with a wonderful temperament - a real lady. The only problem is Lorraine has a bit of a weight problem so is frequently on the Sanctuary weight watchers programme!
